At Camping Houtum, you combine the best of two worlds. During the day, you immerse yourself in the crowds and energy of Graspop Metal Meeting. In the evening, you return to a calm, green environment. No stage noise here, just the soft murmur of people who, like you, come back tired but satisfied.

Camping places that match how you experience Graspop
Everyone experiences Graspop in their own way, and different ways of staying overnight fit that. That is why we offer several types of camping places during the festival.
You can stay on standard pitches, paved camping pitches or comfort pitches, depending on what matters most to you. Guests arriving with a tent will also find quiet tent pitches on the campsite.
New from 2026, we are also opening camping places on our well-maintained grounds. An extra option for those who want to stay comfortably during Graspop in a neatly kept part of the campsite.
Whichever pitch you choose, the atmosphere remains the same: relaxed, respectful and focused on a good night’s sleep.

The Graspop-arrangement
During Graspop, we work with a fixed arrangement from Wednesday to Monday. This way, you do not have to puzzle with arrival and departure days and can enjoy the entire festival in complete peace.
On each Graspop camping pitch, up to six people may stay overnight. This makes it ideal for groups of friends attending Graspop together and wanting to stay together, without it feeling crowded.
For many guests, having one fixed spot for the whole weekend is exactly what brings peace of mind.
The atmosphere on the campsite during the Graspop weekend
At Camping Houtum, atmosphere does not mean partying until the early hours. The atmosphere here is something else.
Everyone staying here shares the same goal: experiencing a great Graspop weekend together with like-minded people. Everyone wears the same festival wristband, everyone comes for the music, and everyone is free to be themselves.
When everyone returns from the festival in the evening, we expect calm on the grounds. There may be some chatting, but then the silence returns naturally. Not because it is enforced, but because everyone understands and respects it.
That shared feeling creates an open, relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.
Step into our sanitary facilities
After a long festival day, you do not want any hassle. You just want a warm shower and a clean place to freshen up.
We have two sanitary blocks in our main building. Our sanitary facilities are well maintained, clean and receive extra attention during the Graspop weekend. Many campers are pleasantly surprised by how calm and tidy everything remains, even when the festival is in full swing.
For us, that is part of comfort during Graspop. Not luxury to impress, just everything properly taken care of.
Our Graspop breakfast
During the Graspop weekend, the day at Camping Houtum does not start with rush, but with good food. Together with De Pompoenerie, we organise breakfast on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, focused on taste and care.
Between 9:00 and 11:30, our guests can calmly sit down and enjoy all the good things on offer. Not a quick festival breakfast, but a table full of honest flavours, prepared with attention. The kind of breakfast you want to linger over.
What makes this breakfast extra special: all proceeds go entirely to De Pompoenerie. By having breakfast together, you directly support their work.

Close to Graspop, deliberately without car traffic
During the Graspop weekend, our guests travel by bicycle or by bus. This keeps the campsite calm and fits the way we experience the weekend.
By bike, it is about 8 kilometres to the festival grounds. For many guests, this is simply part of the experience: getting some fresh air, stretching your legs and then returning quietly to the campsite.
In addition, we provide a bus service that runs several times a day between Camping Houtum and the festival grounds. This ensures easy travel back and forth, without extra traffic on the campsite itself.

From Kasterlee, you can easily reach the Graspop festival grounds in Dessel by car or by bicycle. The route follows local roads and avoids the busiest traffic around the festival, making the journey clear and manageable. When checking in at Camping Houtum, you will also receive a clearly mapped-out cycling route on paper.
During the Graspop weekend, you can rent accommodation at Camping Houtum as long as there is availability. This includes, among others, Rowan, Great Oak, White Linden, Poplar, Silver Birch, Willow and Tall Tree. In addition, camping pitches are also available for tents, caravans and campers.
