The Great Oak is a spacious and cosy chalet designed especially for guests who appreciate a little extra comfort while staying in nature. It accommodates up to six people and features three bedrooms — which makes it an ideal choice for families or small groups who want to relax together and enjoy peaceful surroundings.
Inside, you’ll find a bright living area with two comfortable sofas and a television, as well as a large dining table for family meals or board games. The fully equipped kitchen includes everything you need to prepare a delicious meal. Moreover, the bathroom is spacious and includes a shower, washbasin and toilet.
From the living room, you step directly onto the terrace overlooking the beach-volleyball court and the surrounding greenery — a perfect spot to sit outside and take in the view.
The Great Oak can only be booked for a minimum stay of two nights, so that you’ll have plenty of time to unwind and fully enjoy your stay at Camping Houtum. All in all, enjoy a comfortable break in the heart of nature and discover the calm and charm of our campsite.

We had a wonderful midweek stay, thanks in part to the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and hosts, the bungalow with all necessary facilities and comfortable mattresses! And the excellent location for beautiful walks, bike rides, and culinary delights.

We stayed at this location with a group of friends from Monday to Thursday. No complaints at all about the location or surroundings. There’s a Lidl nearby, a fun snooker and mini-golf spot close by where you can also grab a drink, and Bobbejaanland is just a 30-minute bike ride away.
The chalet was great—very cozy and clean. The beds were a bit less comfortable, but overall we didn’t miss a thing. On-site, there was also a beach volleyball court and a bar, which added to the fun. Plenty of space to stay comfortably with 5 or 6 people. Satisfied!
