Camping Houtum has been offering pitches for mobile homes or chalets for over 40 years. Fully equipped with electricity, water, sewer, cable TV, ... you can enjoy your piece of peace in Kasterlee in all comfort. There is room for about 100 installations, with surface areas of 130 to 280 m²!

1. Connections and installation

If you buy an existing installation at Camping Houtum, you pay a one-off fee for using the utilities electricity, water and sewerage for the amount of € 300 in the first year. Electricity, water and sewerage connections are made available above ground via Camping Houtum. You are responsible for further connecting them.

If you want to come up with your own installation, that is also possible. You can always inquire with us about good partners regarding transport and installation. We ensure that one of us is present on the day of the installation to ensure that everything runs smoothly. We also connect water, sewerage, TV and electricity from our connection points. You pay a one-off fee of € 2500 for this service and as an entrance fee.

2. Guarantee deposit

You pay a deposit of € 1000. This is one-off and can be refunded upon departure if all conditions are met. See our house rules. On your own initiative, this can be deposited into a blocked account at a Belgian bank of your choice. This is also payable by bank transfer or cash at the reception against receipt.

3. Consumption costs

  • Television distribution is done via satellite. We have our own installation that distributes the signal all over the campsite. The annual fee for the digital signal is offered to you free of charge.
  • You have an electricity connection of 10 Amps / 230 Volts. The subscription includes 150 kilowatt of free consumption. If you consume more, you will be charged per KW. Due to the current fluctuations in energy prices, we cannot offer a fixed price arrangement.
  • Water can be used all year round. Each pitch has a connection in the ground so you can choose whether or not to leave the water on in winter. There is no meter on it and therefore it is also offered to you free of charge.
  • There is sewerage throughout the park that you can use for free.
  • Gas works with regular propane canisters. You can order these from us and they will be delivered on site or you can have them filled yourself somewhere. The choice is yours.
  • We collect waste twice a week. Glass, paper & cardboard, organic waste are free of charge. Residual waste and recyclabes work with special bags available at the reception. The first 10 residual waste bags are also offered free of charge.

5. Practicalities and information

  • Shower is possible in the sanitary facilities at € 0.05 per 10 seconds.
  • All connection costs from the connection point are charged to the owner.
  • Our season runs from April the 1st this year to March the 31st next year.
  • Our annual closing period, for 2024 from 12 November to 12 December, also applies to those renting an annual pitch. Overnight stays are NOT allowed then!
  • Dogs are tolerated but must always be on a leash. There is a full duty to clean up both on the property and outside. Placing fencing on the site is not allowed.

All our annual places are currently full and we work with a waiting list.
